My class chose medical school wellbeing and we mostly worked through small scale projects to support our class and the classes below us. Usually in a tough question like “why do you think your classmates nominated you” or something to that effect. In charting outcomes you can see whether it is associated with higher match rates for your specialty.

I would say the majority of most classes got nominated because people just nominate their friends. It has a mild positive effect I’m sure but it’s not regarded in the same way as AOA.

I was asked a handful of times about it, maybe 3-4 out of 20. Gold humanism is a pure popularity contest. What does this have to do with being a doctor? This is a subreddit specifically for interns and residents to get together and discuss issues concerning their training and medicine/surgery. Just curious if there are strict rules for how many students a school can elect into the hold humanism society each year.
