I originally picked the first book up, because I liked the idea of a cat girl, and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. She runs off the bridge with Alyec, who is injured from fighting Brian, and as the two almost reach to the top of the hill on the other side, Brian stops them, warning that there are more members on the other side. Brian can do no wrong while she constantly questions Alec’s intelligence.
Also, there are some questions that were left hanging that could have been tied up.
The trio meet up at the local cafe, where Paul also gives Chloe vodka as her pre-birthday gift, since he'll be spending the weekend with his dad, and will be out of town. All in all, this book was a disappointment to the trilogy.
Chloe has the typical Mai abilities: She's fast, agile, and strong, enabling her to fight and increasing her jumping ablities. She loves spending time with her two best friends Amy and Paul and has a bond with her Mai protectors Alek and Jasmine. Along the next two books Chloe comes to terms with her new life and what it means to her old life. He then kisses her, and she returns the kiss for a moment, until she realizes what she’s done, and then shoves him away. I also didn't really understand/believe the development of the romantic relationships between the characters. The character development sucked.
