I've played Dark Souls 3 before, but for some reason my Dualshock 4 is no longer working. Ps4 Controller - Camera is spinning around ... For most games you wouldn't have to remove wireless controller, but for dark souls it messes up if you have that when you start up the game, it has to be just xbox 360 controller in devices and printers. I've tried to disable the Wireless controller and then the DS4 mapper wont find the controller. It really is an issue with the game and its DirectInput support; similar problems can be experienced on Windows if you aren't using an Xbox 360 controller.
Help would be greatly appreciated! So,this problem is not new.But I tried everything,no way to get it work. If i don't hide controller, the buttons work, but the camera spins and the mapping of the buttons are totally incorrect!!

Also from scpserver, make sure you select "hide ds4 controller" That's what finally got it working for me.
© Valve Corporation. The 360 controller drivers were not downloading/installing automatically for me, so what i did was go onto the official controller website and download the drivers from there. Dark Souls have a controller bug: the camera spinning around the character.
I already tried dumbxinputemu and it does well his job: it makes my gamepad visible by the game as it was a true xbox360 gamepad. Yes of course,but I tried to start the game with the Hide DS4 Controller.It was still there,but in game,I wasn't able to use the controller.I restarted,now,with the Hide DS4 Controller activated,nothing is showed as detected.

I wanted to play dark souls 3 with a controller but all i have is a ps4 controller and all that works is the stick that make me move and the camera is spinning and the other buttons aren't working when i played in the past the controller worked so i am confused. with PS4 controller camera moves everytime I move controller ... (It is on default), you can select Dark Souls 3 from your library, and below PLAY-icon theres (MANAGE GAME) with a cog icon.

I've been using it before with no problems. Because I really can't play with Mouse and Keyboard. I don't know what they had changed in Wine 3.14 but no more spinning camera in Dark Souls prepare to die or Darksiders. When I launch the game, I can't interact with the menus on my controller, and when I get in the game the camera just spins. Click that, and from there you can click on [Controller Configuration], and it will show you your controller. But when I deactivate the wireless controller then the program doesn't work.
if you get an error from "SCP Server" when you try to "hide ds4 controller" this might be your solution. My problem has been fixed thanks to /u/xtreealex. The problem is that the triggers are being used for rotation axes and the triggers will be considered in the active range instead of 0.
Saw something for the older builds where you could "hide the controller and it would fix the problem, but I can't find anything like it. And if i have this posted to the wrong subreddit, let me know where to put as to not be a problem, thank you. In that case, this is mainly issue with game expecting xbox controller and doing weird nonsense when "normal" gamepad emulated by wine is connected. I only have one controller,except if the keyboard and the mouse are a "controller" for you. save hide report.

You should be able to change those values so they matches what game is expecting, especially those two (0,255) may be reason spinning camera.
if anyone could help me fix this problem i would be gratefull. Try logout Steam and then open DS4 tool to connect DS4 and start Steam/Dark Souls again. now i know what you're gonna say. Wenn du nun DS4 neu startest (und vorher "Hide DS4" aktiviert hast) steht unten links "Using exclusive mode". It seemed to fix this problem for me, hope it helps everyone else! @kozec I will get a try with tweaking config.json. Go into Steam Big Picture Mode.Then go into options, then controller settings and ensure that "PS4 controller configuration" is selected.

I tried the DS4 Tool (SCP Server) with Hide controller,nothing. Both triggers would have to be set to half pull in order for the game to stop rotating the camera. My problem has been fixed thanks to /u/xtreealex. To be fair, I've never heard of your kind of problem until now. I experience that when I tab out of the game at the exact moment I move my mouse. ds4drv suffers from a similar problem and I documented that problem on their issue tracker. The issue is, the DS4 works natively with Windows. Did you get ds4tool installed and up? A workaround is to use x360ce. Well... stupid me should also download the latest version of the program. I found a fix!

I loaded up the game with my DS4 plugged in w/ InputMapper which reads the controller as if it were a 360 controller.
