Well that's a huge discrepancy... For whatever reason, there are a lot more "4 year MD students" in the program than those that start. Got this on my doximity weekly round up email and was pretty disappointed that it was the first article on the list. Well this is where it gets interesting.

So out of 952 students, on average 350 of them are taking at least 1 extra year to get through the program. It's just that I'm aware of the stigma surrounding the Caribbean schools as a whole, and I would genuinely like to know if attending is a worthwhile investment. It's obvious a significant portion of students are NOT hitting them and being held back to perform. This is a massive mistake. I know ton of kids who flunked out but they were habitual beach-goers or got caught up in the vacation scene; but those are self-inflicted problems. And that's of the students that are STILL there. I don't know about you but my end goal in medical school isn't JUST matching, it's matching into a program I actually at least kind of want to be at.
