My apologies to the development team that worked on this but it should never have been a default (and thus far always-on) feature. We don't have plans to make it optional to disable Behind The Lyrics. Hope this helps clarify things! Press J to jump to the feed.

I think that you should have the choice of disabling behind the lyrics in settings because I would always swipe down on the album cover to exit the screen but now I can't because of behind the lyrics which makes my music listening experience bad It's a toggle in the settings on my version on Android, New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. For each song there are 3 scenarios depending on the presence of music tags. Recently, "Behind The Lyrics" song analysis (with auto-displayed lyrics) has started to appear for more songs when I play from Spotify to my Chromecast.
